A Call to Action: Help us raise $1M to build a permanent dojo in the Lower Mainland by 2023

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Vancouver Ki Society is a certified non-profit educational martial arts organization, operating in the Lower Mainland for over 35 years. We currently have around 130 students in our Ki-Aikido and Personal Health programs and over 60 children training across 3 locations.

All our Instructors and leaders are volunteers. No one gets paid. We offer a community service to help improve the health and the lives of our students in the communities we serve. Our income enables us to operate our facilities and any surplus is invested into expanding our programs, resources and scholarships to make training affordable for all.

It is our mission to leave a legacy of world-class instructors and training facilities to pass on to our children. I have personally invested close to 30 years of my life and significant dollars to create the vibrant community we have today.

I am excited to announce our 5 year plan to raise $1 million, purchase land and build a permanent dojo. We have set targets as follows:

• 2018: $50,000
• 2019: $200,000
• 2020 to 2023: $750,000

Our motto is, Let us have a universal mind that loves and protects all creation, and helps all things grow and develop... We say this aloud in every childrens class, putting it deep into the sub-conscious mind so it becomes a character foundation. These children will become the leaders & parents of tomorrow.
