Seminar with Tabata Sensei, Chief Instructor of the Northwest Ki Federation
The Vancouver Ki Society is proud to host a weekend with Calvin Y Tabata Sensei, Chief Instructor of the Northwest Ki Federation.
Tabata Sensei is an 8th degree black belt in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido, and holds an Okuden Ki rank. He is also a Full Lecturer in the Ki Society, and the Chief Instructor of the Personal Kiatsu® School. He began his training in Hawaii and is a lifelong direct student of Ki Society founder Koichi Tohei Sensei. Tabata sensei has been teaching in the Northwest since 1970. He established the Oregon Ki Society in 1974 and the Personal Kiatsu School in 1993.
This seminar is a fantastic opportunity for new and experienced students – offering deep foundations in Ki-Aikido (meditation and movement), Ki Development (meditation in daily life) and personal Kiatsu (improving your health) over a single weekend.
Over this weekend, students will learn the foundations to:
* Develop focus, confidence and a strong positive mind
* Improve energy levels and performance throughout your life
* Manage stress, conflict and pressure
We will cover important tools including:
* Mind and body unification – learn to use your mind and body as one
* Breathing exercise and meditation – daily routines to develop a strong mind and reduce stress
* Applications to daily life – our training is only valuable if you can use it in your daily life
In Ki Aikido having a calm mind is the strongest way, physical size and strength are less important , making it accessible to people of all abilities.
Please bring your lunch or plan to enjoy a local restaurant each day.
