Overview

The Vancouver Ki Society is a volunteer-managed non-profit organization, operating in the Lower Mainland for over 35 years. We offer a community service to help improve the health and the lives of our students in the communities we serve.

Our mission is to help people live more positive, energetic lives. We do this by providing programs for adults, children and seniors in Ki-Aikido, Ki Development and Personal Heath. We currently have around 130 adult students and over 60 children training across 3 locations.

Our motto is, "Let us have a universal mind that loves and protects all creation, and helps all things grow and develop..." We say this aloud in every children‘s class, putting it deep into the sub-conscious mind so it becomes a character foundation. These children will become the leaders and parents of tomorrow.

We plan to leave a legacy of world-class instructors and training facilities to pass on to our children.

The Building Fund

We are launching a 5-year plan to purchase land and build a permanent home for the Vancouver Ki Society.

The Vancouver Ki Society Building Fund was established in 2018. We have developed a 5-year strategic plan to meet this goal and have established an advisory committee to provide leadership.

This is our first step towards having a permanent home in. By purchasing or building a dojo in our community, we will provide long term stability for our programs, give us control of our expenses and serve as a foundation for more outreach in our community.

We know a permanent dojo is likely to have a price tag in the high six figures. Our fundraising goal for our first year is $50,000.
